Captive Shot Blasting Case Studies

We have contracted across the Midlands and the UK

Bus depot floor

Location: Burton on Trent
System: Captive shot blasting

The client had the existing concrete floor of the depot extended and now required the entire floor area to be painted. We used our captive shot blasting equipment to remove the laitance from the new floor areas to be painted. The existing floor consisted of some small awkward areas that were heavily soiled; we firstly removed this by scabbling followed by captive shot blasting using our much smaller 9 inch machine as it was impossible to access using our larger plant.

The benefits of using this type of equipment are that it operates completely dust free and requires no cleaning up of the site.

Morrisons Service station forecourt

Location: Canterbury, Kent.
System: Captive shot blasting

The client was in the process of laying a specialist grouted macadam flooring system to a new forecourt location.

After the initial base coating had been applied it was found that the smooth surface wouldn’t be able to provide a good enough mechanical key to receive the final anti-slip finish. This was rectfied easily and quickly by captive shot blasting.

The job was completed in under a day using our equipment, and with minimal disturbance, allowed other trades to carry on during the process.
